Seven modified 2012 Civic Si Coupes were prominently displayed in the Honda booth at the 2011 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas. The modifications clearly showcased the Wow-Factor the Si can bring as a great vehicle for those who like to personalize their transportation. Several vehicles were unveiled at the show, including the 2012 Civic Si Coupe equipped with a limited-edition Honda Factory Performance (HFP) package and the Compass360 developed by Honda Performance Development (HPD), the 2012 Civic Si Coupe Racecar, the Accord Coupe HFP Concept and several other vehicles equipped with Honda Genuine Accessories.

The 2012 Civic Si Sedan shows that performance and style can come with four doors as it featured all-season floor mats, trunk tray, cargo net, cargo hook and splash guards and 18x7 inch HFP alloy wheels. Purchasing and installing the Honda Genuine Accessories, (HFP components included), offers a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty matching the Civics’ warranty.

In an interview by Honda.Com Bruce Smith, Vice President of Service and Technical Operations for American Honda Motor Co., Inc., reported the 1980 Honda Civic was the vehicle that introduced the import-tuner movement in the United States. He continued by stating that the 2012 Civic Si is an exciting platform for personalization as it also allows improved fuel economy.

Attendee's at the show first gazed upon the 2012 Civic Si Coupe fitted with the Limited-Edition HFP package. There was a strict limit of 500 kits made available the day of the show’s opening. They are available for special order through O'Daniel Honda, but supplies are limited. The Package Includes: high-performance springs, reducing ride height by 15mm; high-performance dampers tuned for enhanced road handling and decreased body roll; 18x7 inch HFP Alloy Wheels; full HFP aerodynamic body kit; HFP carpet floor mats; red ambient interior illumination; and, HFP emblems. All of the painted parts will come color-matched to each of the seven available Civic Si Coupe colors.

In July of this year, HPD began sales of Civic bodies-in-white made available to builders and were also on display at the show. For builders of racecars, a project with a body-in-white represents significant cost and labor savings when compared to the purchase and conversion of a fully-equipped production car. HPD-designed parts and branded racing components for the new Civic through Honda Racing. Additional performance parts will meet the challenges of the SCCA World Challenge and Grand Am's Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. They will be available early in 2012, and full details and pricing will be available at that time.

The show included the previously displayed the Honda-modified CR-Z sport hybrids, and HPD CR-Z Hybrid R Concept and the CR-Z. The turbocharged HPD CR-Z Racer competed at Thunderhill last year as continued exploration of the CR-Z’s performance was met with great excitement.

Honda continues to reach out to the import community to display their vehicles, asking tuners to push the limits with their builds so they can demonstrate the potential of personalization. Bisimoto Engineering delivered a 1004 hp version of the Civic Si Coupe. The Tjin Edition brought their Civic Si Sedan and showed that style and performance can be compatible with kids and a family.

Honda in its SEMA Show debut, made an impression that will deliver both professional builders and private builders an exciting platform to personalize that without taking a back seat to performance.

Bill Cosby:"I'm 76 and Tired"

http://www.clksearch.com/3/post/2011/10/bill-cosby-im-76-and-tired.html

http://www.clksearch.com/3/post/2011/10/bill-cosby-im-76-and-tired.html#comments

Uncategorized

I'm 76. The reason for the recall is the discovery of a problem with the assembly process with the power window switches. These switches are believed to be faulty and may cause parts melting down. Honda is quick to say that no injuries have occurred as a result of this problem.

The Vehicles involved in this recall are model year 2005 and 2006 CR-V and the CR-Z, the window switch seems like a relatively minor issue, a spokesperson from Honda Corporate stats this could potentially be a hazardous situation because it does have the potential of a short circuit and then melting.

The spokesperson went on to say that this problem has been traced back to specific components. Silicon from the cleaning agents of the automobile and parts of silicon on the automobiles air fresheners have been identified, by entering the assembly and wearing out the contacts in the components. When the contact area becomes worn, it may create excessive heat through electrical current flow which could potentially melt the solder on the connections. When this occurs, this would produce smoke and in the worst case it could result in the melting of the window switch covering.

The owners that are affected by this recall will be notified by mail. The repairs will be scheduled at the customer’s preference for free; the repairs take about 30 minutes.

There have been no injuries or accidents from this problem which was discovered at Honda’s Headquarters in Japan a few weeks ago. After two weeks of investigating, they uncovered the vehicles that have been affected and how widespread this problem is. Honda reported the situation and voluntarily put the recall process in motion.

They had the benefit of a previous problem similar to this in the Philippines that affects another 5400 vehicles because they were thought to have problematic cylinder springs which had the potential to cause the engine of the vehicles to stall. Repairs on these vehicles have already been repaired.

This recall includes more 19,000 vehicles. Honda’s sales performance has had a negative effect on the bottom line as a result of this development as this has been compounded by a similar recall in the Philippines. It is clear that Honda has placed safety and the quality of its product above financial issues.

Those vehicles have already been repaired which leaves some room for the reparation of the new glitches which have been discovered. These faults have cause Honda’s market share to drop from 12.5% last year to 9.8% in just one year.

Visit The Facebook Page for more on this. CLK HERE

The Honda Brand Endures In a Tough Market

http://www.clksearch.com/3/post/2011/08/the-honda-brand-endure-in-a-tough-market.html

http://www.clksearch.com/3/post/2011/08/the-honda-brand-endure-in-a-tough-market.html#comments

Uncategorized

[...]

I know of a guy that has his CRV that the air conditioner died on him in 60 plus degree temperatures. He took it to his Honda dealer where they confessed this has been a confident problem in the 03 and 04 CRV. The specifics of the failure were not shared with me, but he was quoted $2,100 to fix it.

Stunned by the quote, he responded to the service adviser that he has been a Honda owner for years and that he did

not expect anything like this to happen. Long story short, he insisted that Honda step up and stand behind their product. The dealer simply responded to his customer, he did not have the authority to do that, with empathy he gave the contact information for him to contact the Honda Corporate Representative to see if there was something he could do.

He phoned American Honda about the issue, they let him know that they will have to take it up with the dealer, and they would get back to him. He took the CRV into the dealer and they filed for Honda Goodwill on our friends behalf. Within a very short period of time, Honda came back with an offer to pay for the parts, even though this was about 60% of the total repair, he was hesitant to give the go ahead. He was not appreciative of the offer, but this was a known problem in the vehicle, and simply felt more needs to be done.

After researching the problem on the internet, and discussions with engineering he found the problem was prevalent in the 03 and 04 CRV in such a way that the failure caused additional damage to the Cooling system. His 60K service was completed without any mention of a potential issue, admitting he would have considered the repair if he had known of the risk he would have considered replacing the part to avoid the additional damages to the cooling system. Due to the events around this breakdown, a case was opened with American Honda Motor Co., Inc seeking the labor with the parts offer. They reaffirmed their longstanding loyalty with the Honda vehicles, and this did not affect their overall opinion for both the company and the product.

He was assured that they would get back to him by the end of the week and that they would give it serious consideration. He was really impressed with the return offer the next day to pay for the repair in full. By the end of the week he was driving his CRV. His commitment to the company has been almost a crusade for him.

This was an exception and not normal for the American Honda Motor Co., Inc to step outside of the terms of their warranty terms. The circumstances were unique and offered the ability for the company to notify the dealer’s service departments of the issue and seek resolution in advance of serious damage that could result for the failure of the part.

I have mentioned my daughters love for her Honda Element which is almost at the same level of the other example I have used. She was energetic about the product, the company and O'Daniel Honda-Omaha. As a college student, working full time, she is limited on both time and money. When she moved from one part of Omaha to the next, she became an O’Daniel customer with a simple little oil change. When she went to pick up her Element, she was fully informed of the mechanical condition of the vehicle. Once she informed them of her limits and ability to afford all the recommendations, she left with a schedule of priority that allowed her get the work done as she could afford it.

The model we have spent a great deal of time with has been the Honda Civic now in its eight generation and shows no sign of taking a back seat when it comes innovation, reliability and just plain good looks. The 2012 model line has been released and has been impressive on all levels, even in a tough economy.

The Civic with its space-age looks and cutting edge technology continues to turn heads with its futuristic design in the market sector traditionally dominated by more conservative models that include the Mazda 3, Ford Focus and the Toyota Corolla.

As future articles will talk about the Civic in greater detail, we mention this only to point to American Honda Motor Co., Inc commitment to its future design efforts assure the car buyer that with an O'Daniel Honda purchase or service you get a little bit of the old and the new.

For the new, leading edge design, technologies and innovation that insure the buyer that their investment in a Honda is as sound tomorrow as it is today. Because this manufacturing firm is so far ahead of its competition it is attracting those markets that in the past had been very tough to turn. The advancements insure that the resale on your Honda will be secured in the future because the consumer has built a trust that only legendary reliability can earn.

Which brings up my point about the past, way back in the day, Honda chose O'Daniel to represent their product, and they have not given Honda any reason to second guess their choice. As a smaller, locally owned dealership, they understand their customer and their cars. They service them as though they had to drive them everyday only to be sure that they will start every time and get them safely to their destinations. Over the years, it’s been the customers that tell Honda that they are choosing O'Daniel Honda-Omaha every time they need service and when they must replace their cars. For six years in a row now, it’s been their customer sharing with Honda about the quality in the relationship they are forming with O'Daniel Honda-Omaha.

Simply read the comments people make on their Facbook Page (CLK Here). It’s hard to believe that there are so many people taking time from their busy schedules to post so many positive comments. It is nice to see that in times like we have today, there are still those that work really hard to deliver the quality that made both car maker and car dealer top shelf performers in the eyes of their customer.

Casey Anthony Verdict Stuns America

http://www.clksearch.com/3/post/2011/07/casey-anthony-verdict-stuns-america.html

http://www.clksearch.com/3/post/2011/07/casey-anthony-verdict-stuns-america.html#comments

Uncategorized

Casey Anthony Receives the Verd [...]

Casey Anthony Receives the Verdict

We are (most of us anyway) bound by the constitution and the laws built around this magnificent Document. It was designed 235 years ago with its design is to provide an opportunity to judge and be judged by the commoner (a Jury of our peers), with intent of delivering justice as they see it. Some of us have firsthand

We are a nation of laws that are designed to deliver fair and equal justice. Sometimes it works so well we brag to the world how great our legal system is. Other times it seems to fail so badly we quietly pull our head back into our shell and hide in shame.

Our legal system is broken, it is far too easy for a hungry attorney to put his needs in front of the legal “code of ethics” (might I add, decency) and accept cases that have no business being in the system. There is no benchmark of proof that must be vetted prior to a lawsuit. The result is an overworked, plugged up system that is so turned inside out that it is ready for a complete overhaul. Meanwhile the “legal games” continue, the attorney’s make billions, and the desire to fix it has been lost to the politician speech material archive file.

Our society is guilty of perpetrating this condition as well, giving the media a pass by no longer “Investigating” before they spread the story across the airwaves. They have lost the objectivity necessary that would give them anything more than the credentials of a gossip channel. Yet we eat it all up as they spew this dribble all day long. They know if we are told something long enough and loud enough we turn from justice to guilt (I’m just as guilty myself), like the rudder of a ship, they steer the public along any direction they want.

What’s even worse is the “media system” already has plans in the works for books, movies and talk shows rehashing every gory detail around this story. The public will literally shell out millions to hear it all again and again. The Micheal Savage Show claims he did not talk about the case as he verbally assaulted the balance of the media world. Yet, every entry following a commercial break he opened with a diatribe about his refusal to talk about the Casey Anthony case.

It has already been said, Casey Anthony is a millionaire today. It is our society’s addiction to pain and destructive behavior that will insures this happens. The media will be providing the pipeline to the bank of her choice.

Yesterday’s verdict on the Casey Anthony’s case was as shocking to all of us as the OJ Simpson case. Not all that surprising to me really, who do we have to blame for this debacle? A child remains murdered with her killer running free; a family has been forever ripped apart and the public has another example of the legal system gone a muck. I have said many prayers for Caylee, may she rest in peace. I remain with mixed feeling following the Acquittal of Casey Anthony on the 4 charges that fed the media for the last 3 years. We as the public have turned our scorn to the jury, with complete disregard of the legal code that they are bound to. There was no DNA evidence linking the murder to Casey Anthony, but a prosecutor’s office was under pressure to get a conviction. Without the evidence that a legal laymen like me, knows they will need to have, they took the roll of the dice and lost.

This acquittal is tragic statement of the need for the legal system to re-evaluate itself to get back to the principals of the law and step away from the mob mentality to fabricate convictions for the media spectacle they become. Americans deserve a legal system that is open and fair, not the one where judgment is made by the very people the constitutional designed was to protect us from. It is not the place for Government, The Media or even the public to convict anyone without due process. It seems this principal has been lost to power, greed and entertainment. That’s is until you find yourself the target of any legal action.

Nebraska Joins the Big-Ten July 1st

http://www.clksearch.com/3/post/2011/06/-nebraska-joins-the-big-ten-july-1st.html

http://www.clksearch.com/3/post/2011/06/-nebraska-joins-the-big-ten-july-1st.html#comments

Uncategorized

 [...]

I have never seen a better fit for an inductee to an existing Conference as Nebraska becomes an official member of the Big-Ten conference July 1st. I don't need to express my thoughts in this piece about the academic advantages; I would rather speak to the FOOTBALL connection. There are few programs richer in the College football tradition than, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan and Nebraska. The style of football that Nebraska will meet up with in the Big-Ten will force them to show more consistent performance week to week than what was required of them with the Big-12.

The defense that Bo Pelini installed four years ago is what they run in the Big-Ten and will challenge the Pelini brothers in a way they have not been challenged week after week. Big, Strong, Physical, Intelligent defense will be a must. I am confident that Bo Pelini and staff are up to the standards as they step into the conference, they will step up in this area giving the Nebraska Fan nothing to be ashamed of.

The offense on the other hand, has been described as anemic at best for the past 6 years. They have been in a holding pattern that has failed to develop future players for this program. With a new offensive staff in place, this remains the biggest question for the upcoming season. Will they provide productivity enough to give the defense the rest they need to build their momentum throughout the course of the game? Will they show the Development in the roster that will grow the productivity enough to secure the historical continuity within the coaching staff at Nebraska? Will the new staff be able to spot and bring on campus the kind of athlete necessary to win another National title?

This is a sport that any and all questions will work them out eventually on the field. So we will see about these questions soon enough. However, the Big-Ten is better suited geographically, which will allow the Nebraska Fan’s travel to continue as they will show the host venue the impressive support given to the football program.

I am most excited about the prospects of meeting up with the class of the Big-Ten which is their fans. I would be greatly disappointed if we were the recipients of such low class fans as we have met in Colorado (now in the Pac-10), Kansas State and even Missouri. With fans having stuff thrown on them, tires punctured and even fans being assaulted by those of who associated themselves with the host team. We are not suggesting this behavior was the endorsed by the host teams, but at the same time there was no effort to suppress it, discourage it or even apologize for it. A game was once stopped at Colorado because the classless student body was throwing trash on the field. The university’s named, cannot support the claim they did not know this occurred which what they will tell you.

Now that Nebraska is a part of the Big-Ten, the play on and off the field is anticipated at a higher level of performance and more in tune with real sportsmanship. There is nothing more fun from the fan perspective than engaging on the home turf with an opposing fan that displays’ respect for your program and engages in friendly banter about the upcoming contest. Following the game, it would be nice to have that conversation with the fans as you leave the stadium or tailgate afterwards, something we are not used to having. Bring on the Big-Ten, we will be competitive, yet will develop the Fan Friendships we have missed out on from the Big-12 experience

McCain Doesn't Appreciate 'Isolationist' Republican Field

http://www.clksearch.com/3/post/2011/06/mccain-doesnt-appreciate-isolationist-republican-field.html

http://www.clksearch.com/3/post/2011/06/mccain-doesnt-appreciate-isolationist-republican-field.html#comments

Uncategorized

Republican FieldJohn McCain who was the defender of the senseless wars of the Bush Administration has bad filling towards the Republican field which is spouting the old ideas of the Republican Party that holds an isolationist approach to foreign policy.Read On: [...]

Republican FieldJohn McCain who was the defender of the senseless wars of the Bush Administration has bad filling towards the Republican field which is spouting the old ideas of the Republican Party that holds an isolationist approach to foreign policy.

Read On: CLK Here
Posted by A Soldier at WAR becomes appart of the Family at 8:18 AM

CWS Mobile Fan Guide

http://www.clksearch.com/3/post/2011/06/cws-mobile-fan-guide.html

http://www.clksearch.com/3/post/2011/06/cws-mobile-fan-guide.html#comments

Uncategorized

Need to know what’s going on during the College World Series?
